The department of Constitutional law and Comparative jurisprudence

​As structural unit of Uzhhorod National University, department of Constitutional law and Comparative jurisprudence has been created according to decree of Ministry of education and science of Ukraine in 2001. The department proceeds on a base of Constitution of Ukraine, laws of Ukraine, University Statute and other regulatory legal acts about higher education.

​Based on above mentioned documents the department provides preparation of students, postgraduates, Ph.Ds of  juridicial and other faculties and departments of University in such disciplines: “Constitutional law of Ukraine”, “Constitutional law of foreign countries”, “Roman law”, “Municipal law”, “Land law”, and many other courses.

​The department was one of the first in Ukraine who developed own concept and principles of teaching the following disciplines: “ Constitutional law of procedure”, “ Relevant issues of Constitutional law and process”, “Elective law”, 
“ Constitutional regulation of the activities of political parties and public associations”, “Conflicts of municipal law and ways of it’s solving” , “ Constitutional legal Principles of Rule-Making of State Bodies and Local Municipality “, “Relevant issues of human rights”, “Executive power and constitutional model of power division in Ukraine”, “Constitutional legal status of a child”, “Comparative jurisprudence”, “ European Union Law”, “Constitutional rulemaking”.

​The framework of the department is based on annual plans which consists of the following units: organizational work, educational-methodological work, scientific research, upbringing work. The department  made annual curricula, topical plans, plans for seminars, topics for thesis, plans for stuff internship. Each discipline provided by department has got appropriate handbooks, lecture courses, methodological materials.
