The department of Economic law was created by initiation of professor Yarema V.I. and was the third in Ukraine among similar departments in KNU named after T.Shevtchenko, Donetsk National University whish were founded earlier. Nowadays it’s a department which has got indeed powerful scientifically pedagogical potential. Its testified by the fact that educational process is provided 14 candidates of juridical sciences. 

On the department part time work highly qualified practice lawyers, from judicial and law enforcement agencies in Uzhhorod and Transcarpathian region in particular.

Educational-methodological and scientific-theoretical seminars act by the department and student’s scientific-theoretical workshop.

The department develops and supports scientific partnership not only with Ukrainian colleagues but also with foreign similar departments like in Hungary and Slovakiia and its only the beginning.

Today here work 20 collaborators among them 1 PhD, 13 docents and candidates of juridical sciences.

Development prospects

Priority directions of the department's development are the following:

• Investigation of theoretical-practical issues of legal support of economic activity in a framework of complex topic “State - legal regulation of economic activity of the region under the conditions of European integration”.
• Preparation and defense for PhD degree and 3 candidate thesis to gain scientific level specified “12.00.04 – Economic law, economic procedure”.
• Preparation of electronic version of lectures and plans for seminars, methodological advise towards it in all educational disciplines provided by the department.
• Total renovation of topics for year papers, qualification papers, master thesis.

The amount of collaborators is 22 people.

List of scientific titles of collaborators: 3 professors, 9 docents, Emeritus Lawyers of Ukraine and 1 Emeritus Educator of Ukraine.

Priority directions of the department's development are:

Investigation of theoretic-practical issues of legal support of economic activity in framework of complex department’s topic “ State-legal regulation of economic activity of the region under the condition  of Euro integration”.

• Preparation and defense for PhD degree and 3 candidate thesis to gain scientific level specified “12.00.04 – Economic law, economic procedure”.

Preparation of  handbooks with the stamp of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine on courses: “Economic law”, “Administrative law”, “Tax law”, “Financial law” and electronic variant of all disciplines provided by the department.

Preparation of seminars and methodic advise towards it in all  educational disciplines provided by the department.

Total renovation of topics for year papers, qualification papers, master thesis.
