Volodymyr Khymynets

-   Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor. Head of the research sector of the Western region of the Center for Domestic Political Studies of the National Institute of Strategic Studies in Kyiv. Economist by profession, Master of Public Administration. Graduate of the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine. PhD in Economics. His thesis towards the degree of Doctor of Economics was prepared and defended at the Council for the Study of Productive Forces of Ukraine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (now Institute of Environmental Economics and Sustainable Development of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv), the leading national research institution of economic profile. The field of scientific interests include problems of glocalization and eco-sustainable development, cross-border and interregional relations, foreign economic activity and project management.

-    Worked in the system of public administration and local self-government, he worked in the positions of vice-mayor of the regional center of the city of Uzhhorod and Deputy Head of the Uzhhorod District State Administration. Being elected a deputy of the respective local councils, he conducts multifaceted charitable and volunteer work. 

-   Lecturer in the discipline "Foreign Economic Activity of Ukraine", supervisor of the postgraduate and master's student theses.

Guarantor of the Educational and Professional Programme “International Economic Relations,”subject specializationC1.02 “International Economic Relations.” 

Courses taught: «International Organizations and the Business Environment»; «Management of International Projects and Programmes»; «Economics of Ukraine’s European Integration Processes».

Yuliia Halynska is the author of over 100 scholarly and instructional publications (international and Ukrainian monographs; research articles in Category “B” journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, etc.). Her research interests include international management and international projects, environmental economics at the state and regional levels, and the formation of collaborative associations among academia, business, and communities. She serves as an invited reviewer for Problems and Perspectives in Management and an honorary member of the editorial board of the open-access IJBST Journal Group. From 2016–2022, she worked as a consultant to a science-and-industry enterprise on cluster developmentandcollaboration strategies under conditions of global competition, and participated in more than 20 research projects, including as principal investigator for research contracts with manufacturing enterprises in the Sumy region.

She has undertaken international internships and research stays at universities in theUnited Kingdom, the United States, Poland, Finland, France, Slovakia, and other countries. In 2015–2016, she completed the BACKIS Post-Doc Programme under Erasmus Mundus at theUniversity of Montpellier 1 and 2 (France). In2023–2026, she served asProject Leaderof the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module “Architectonics of Scientific, Industrial and Economic Associations: Markers of Ukraine’s Post-War Reconstruction Based on European Values.”

-       Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor. Received his higher economic education at Kyiv State University named after T.H. Shevchenko. Defended a Candidate thesis in specialty 08.00.01 - "Political Economy and Social Science".

-       A well-known Ukrainian economist, a representative of the Kyiv School of Economics, a classic university professor and scientist, a teacher and mentor of a large number of successful researchers and participants of the real sector of economy. In 2004-2013, headed the European Integration and International Economics Department of the Faculty of International Relations.

Completed post-graduate studies at the Kyiv National University of Economics (KNEU) named after Vadym Hetman, as well as at the Department of International Economic Relations of Uzhhorod National University.

-  Worked in the banking sector for fifteen years after graduating from university. He was also engaged in entrepreneurship and consulting in the field of finance and investments in the real sector of the economy. He worked in higher educational institutions and research institutions, government bodies and local self-government.

-  Field of research interests: financial globalization, international economic security, global insurance networks and investment activities. Lecturer in the disciplines "International Economic Relations" for bachelors, "Economic Globalization" and "Financial Literacy" for students of Master’s program.
