In accordance with the decision of the Academic Council of Uzhhorod National University (UzhNU) dated December 5, 2013, titled "On the UzhNU Science Park," as well as the resolution of the Zakarpattia Regional Council No. 683 from March 21, 2013, pertaining to the establishment of the "Uzhhorod National University Science Park," a pivotal development took place on September 7, 2015. During that year, the Limited Liability Company (LLC) "Uzhhorod National University Science Park" was founded through collaborative efforts of the State Higher Educational Institution "Uzhhorod National University" and the Charitable Organization "Zakarpattia Investment, Innovation, and Development Agency."

The pivotal moment in this trajectory occurred on December 27, 2022, as the General Directorship of the LLC "Uzhhorod National University Science Park" was bestowed upon Mr. Serhii Petrovych Mostovyi through the consensus of the founding assembly.

The LLC "Uzhhorod National University Science Park" bears the mantle of driving innovative initiatives within the university, with a strategic focus on catalyzing the structural reconfiguration of the regional economy. The innovation-driven program of the park, meticulously devised, is aimed at fostering advancements in scientific, technological, and innovative undertakings within Uzhhorod National University. It zealously advocates for the judicious and resourceful exploitation of the existing scientific potential, coupled with the judicious utilization of the material-technical foundation. This orchestration is strategically aligned to the commercialization of research findings and their seamless integration into both domestic and international markets.

The overarching objective extends beyond immediate outcomes, transcending into the realm of sustaining a progressive socio-economic equilibrium in the region. This is achieved through the strategic introduction of novel and efficient forms of innovation-investment collaboration, spanning across the spheres of the scientific-technological elite, the business-financial domain, regional authorities, and local communities. This collaborative nexus harnesses the inherent energy, natural-resource endowments, technological prowess, material-technical assets, and human capital resources.

The inception of the Science Park is a resolute step toward the elevation of scientific, technological, and innovative activity within Uzhhorod National University. It strategically orchestrates the pragmatic utilization of the prevailing scientific potential and material-technical infrastructure, propelling the creation and commercialization of outcomes resulting from scientific and technological endeavors. The consequential integration of these outcomes into both domestic and international markets serves as the quintessential fulcrum of the Science Park's multifaceted mandate. 

The main functions of the Science Park include:

• Development of new forms of innovative products, implementation of measures for their commercialization, organization and provision of production for scientifically intensive, competitive innovation products in domestic and foreign markets.
• Provision of informational, methodological, legal, and consulting support to the Science Park founders and partners, including patent and licensing assistance.
• Involvement of higher education seekers, scientists, and employees of Uzhhorod National University in Science Park projects' development and execution.
• Creation of favorable conditions for higher education seekers, Uzhhorod National University employees, and innovative enterprises to develop competitive innovative technologies, goods, and services through state-private partnerships.
• Support for the development of small-scale innovative entrepreneurship.
• Organization of training, retraining, and qualification improvement for specialists necessary in the development and implementation of Science Park projects.
• Promotion of national and international cooperation in scientific and innovative activities, assistance in attracting foreign investments.
• Execution of other functions not prohibited by the legislation of Ukraine.

The objectives of the Scientific Park within the framework of priority directions of activity, aligned with its established purpose, encompass the following domains:

• Exploration of novel energy transportation technologies, integration of energy-efficient and resource-conserving methodologies, and adoption of alternative energy sources.
• Advancement of cutting-edge technologies in the high-tech evolution of the transportation system, rocket and space industry, aviation and shipbuilding sectors, armament, and military technology.
• Mastery of emerging material production technologies, their processing and amalgamation, as well as the establishment of a nanomaterial and nanotechnology industry.
• Technological rejuvenation and development of the agro-industrial complex.
• Implementation of innovative technologies and equipment for high-quality medical services, treatment, and pharmaceuticals.
• Wide-ranging deployment of cleaner production methods and environmental preservation techniques.
