UzhNU Team Takes Part in the Revived Uzhhorod Regatta
Yestoday, after a five year break, the traditional Uzhhorod Regatta returned to the city, bringing participants together through sporting spirit, teamwork, and a great atmosphere. The event was also held to raise funds in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Uzhhorod National University was represented by a team from the Department of Control Systems and Technologies of the Faculty of Information Technologies. The team included PhD student Dmytro Lendel, Head of the Department and Associate Professor Oleksandr Levchuk, and Professor Oleksandr Mitsa.
The team competed under the symbolic name "Boole", in honour of the distinguished English mathematician George Boole, the founder of Boolean algebra. The name refers to the fundamental principle of Boolean logic, where 1 + 1 = 1, symbolising unity, cooperation, and the strength of teamwork.
Participation in the regatta provided an excellent opportunity not only to support the revival of one of Uzhhorod's most cherished traditions but also to demonstrate that members of the university community actively contribute to the city's sporting and civic life.
We congratulate the team from the Department of Control Systems and Technologies of the Faculty of Information Technologies on proudly representing Uzhhorod National University and wish them continued success and many more achievements, both in their academic work and beyond the university.
