A framework agreement on cooperation in joint scientific and academic projects between UzhNU and the University of Szeged was recently signed in Hungary. On behalf of UzhNU, the document was signed by the Rector of the university, Professor Volodymyr Smolanka, and on behalf of the University of Szeged, by its Rector, Professor Gábor Szábo. "This is one of the best laser research centers in the world. It has been opened recently. This is a unique engineering construction that, practically, does not undergo any vibrations, which is very important for laser efficiency. It generates a light pulse with the duration of 10-18 с. One can "photograph" the flight of an electron with its help. Therefore, there are a lot of prospects for joint work in the fields of physics and medicine." Said Oleksandr Shpenyk.
During the meeting in Szeged, the parties discussed joint student and teacher academic exchange programs between the universities. The participants of the meeting also talked about the areas of cooperation in the fields of physics, medicine, law, and philology.
