Uzhhorod National University Students Took Part in an International Training in Rzeszów
From September 21 to 27, 2025, students of Uzhhorod National University participated in the international training course “Make It Matter: Creative Approaches to Community & Youth Work”, which took place in the city of Rzeszów (Poland) within the framework of the Erasmus+ program. The event was organized by the INPRO association, which for over ten years has been implementing youth exchanges, educational training, and volunteer projects at the European level.
The program was rich and diverse: participants engaged in group activities, learned how to identify the needs and resources of communities, and discussed the role of young people in social processes. Special attention was given to creative tasks, where students not only developed their own ideas but also presented them to an international audience. One of the practical sessions focused on storytelling – how to effectively communicate values and ideas to a community. The agenda also included a cultural trip to Łańcut Castle and a guided tour of Rzeszów’s historic center.
Philology student Taisiia Andrusyak noted that the central theme of the week was the concept of “community” – its elements, needs, and significance for the harmonious development of society. She emphasized that all tasks were carried out in the format of lively discussions, workshops, and presentations: “We had the opportunity to meet international students, gain new knowledge, and create our own Erasmus community.”

For master’s student Viktoriia Sichak, this trip became not only a professional challenge but also a personal discovery: “Such projects give you a chance not only to meet wonderful people but also to better understand yourself. Every time you step out of your comfort zone, you discover new abilities and talents. I am confident that I will be able to apply this experience in my future work in the non-governmental sector.”
Equally warm impressions were shared by international medical student Diya Devgun: “We exchanged cultures, danced together – it felt like living in one big family. In addition, we acquired many practical skills: organizing, analyzing, working in a team. The atmosphere was very supportive, and this memory will stay with me forever.”
Such short-term exchanges to Rzeszów take place on a regular basis, each time focusing on a new and relevant topic — from innovations in youth work to the development of intercultural cooperation.
Uzhhorod National University expresses its sincere gratitude to the organizers for providing students with the opportunity to engage in the international educational process, gain valuable experience, and broaden their academic and cultural horizons.
