Call for proposals for funding German-Ukrainian research cooperation for sustainable recovery announced
The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research has announced a call for proposals for funding German-Ukrainian research cooperation for sustainable recovery.
The aim of the competition is to support Ukrainian scientists and preserve their capabilities.
Within the framework of the projects, German and Ukrainian partner institutions will work together on research and development topics of mutual interest. The topics of project applications may include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
Research related to energy, healthcare, agriculture, or transportation;
Information, manufacturing or biotechnology;
Research on new materials;
Interdisciplinary humanities, social and economic sciences, for example, in connection with reforms in politics, law or economics;
Green transition or environmental protection.
At least one partner organization from Ukraine is required to participate in the project.
The project must provide for the transfer of part of the funding from the German side to the partner institution in Ukraine. Particular attention is paid to the involvement of young scientists both in Germany and Ukraine.
The maximum grant amount is €300,000 per project for a period of up to 36 months.
Deadline for project applications: no later than January 31, 2025.
