Educational and scientific laboratory of X-ray structural analysis
University-wide X-ray Structural Analysis Laboratory - an educational and research laboratory, is a structural unit of the State Higher Educational Institution 'Uzhhorod National University.' It facilitates educational sessions and scientific research for students, graduate students, doctoral candidates, and university staff.
In the educational and research laboratory, there is a basic experimental setup – the X-ray diffractometer DRON-3.
The automatic X-ray diffractometer DRON-3 is designed for a wide range of X-ray structural studies on various crystalline materials.
Main technical specifications:
- X-ray tube power: 2 kW
- Accelerating voltage: 20 - 50 kV
- Tube current: 5 - 40 mA
- 2θ angle range: -100˚ to 167˚
Capabilities of the X-ray diffractometer DRON-3:
- Investigation of the general structure of crystals
- Obtaining a complete set of integral reflection intensities from single crystals
- Determination of the orientation of crystal cuts
- Study of crystal texture.
