Career Guidance Visit of UzhNU to Oleshnyk School: A Step Toward a Conscious Choice of the Future
Recently, a career guidance visit took place by the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work of Uzhhorod National University, Myroslava Lendel, to Oleshnyk Secondary School of I–III levels in Zakarpattia region. The event was held in a friendly atmosphere, and the guests were welcomed by the school principal, Mykhailo Ivanovych Sihetiy, a graduate of the Faculty of History of UzhNU.
During the meeting, senior students had the opportunity to learn about the educational possibilities at Uzhhorod National University, one of the leading higher education institutions in the region. Today, together with Mukachevo State University, the university is forming a powerful educational space that will объединate 25 faculties: 21 faculties and an educational-scientific institute of UzhNU, as well as 4 faculties of MSU.
Myroslava Lendel spoke in detail about the specifics of the admission campaign and opportunities for applicants. Students learned about the wide range of specialties and educational programs, including information technology, political science and public administration, international relations, medicine, law, economics, philology, tourism, and many others.
Special attention was given to the advantages of the unified institution. The expansion of the university structure opens up new opportunities for applicants to study in interdisciplinary programs, use modern material and technical facilities, and participate in international exchange programs and scientific projects.
An equally important topic was student life. UzhNU offers young people not only quality education but also wide opportunities for development outside the classroom. Students can join youth spaces, participate in trainings, cultural and sports events, and implement their own ideas and projects. In particular, the YouthHub youth center operates as a platform for developing communication skills, leadership, and creative potential of students.
The meeting sparked significant interest among students, who actively asked questions about admission conditions, studies, and student life. This format of live communication helps young people better understand their opportunities and choose their future profession more confidently.
Uzhhorod National University continues its active career guidance work, supporting cooperation with general secondary education institutions and helping young people make a conscious choice of their professional path.
