August 8, 2014 in Uzhhorod at the Uzhhorod National University will take place Conference “Ukrainian National Technology Platform “Agro-Food”: important initiatives for integration with the EU in food-drink sector”.

The aim of the meeting is to establish stable contacts between entrepreneurs, policy makers and research institutions which is essential for the successful partnership of science and business and the key innovation in small, medium and large enterprises of the food industry.

The Conference is organized by Uzhhorod National University (Ukraine), «Cassovia Life Sciences» n.o. (Slovak Republic) and Ukrainian National Technology Platform “Agro-Food” with the support of experts from partner network clusters.

Participants of the conference will consider ways of innovative development of small and medium businesses of Ukraine in general and  particular in regions; much attention is concentrated on the peculiarities spectrum of scientific and technological programs of the EU (COSME, joint programming initiatives, etc.) as a powerful financial support tool and improvement of the conditions for small and medium businesses.

Leading Ukrainian and international organizations and well-known affiliate network: Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business Consulting Company “Society”, “Cassovia Life Science”, Fine Food Cluster Initiative, FHN, ETP, National Contact Points program “Horizon 2020” in Ukraine, the Ukrainian National Technology Platform “Agro-Food”, theme groups and others will be presented during the event.

For participation in this event are invited representatives of Small and medium enterprises, local authorities, NGOs, experts in the fields of agriculture and food, health, tourism, food technology, as well as nutritionists, scientists of leading universities and research institutions.
