Schoolchildren learn basics of programming and robotics at UzhNU

Recently it has become possible for pupils to improve and test their knowledge of programming in the club of the basics of robotics and programming organized on the basis of the Faculty of Mathematics in cooperation with the Transcarpathian Regional Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Young Students and Pupils.

The head of the club, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor Andriy Bryla says: "This course has two components: the study of the basics of programming and the study of the basics of robotics. The goal of the course is to teach pupils the basics of programming and their practical application for controlling electronic robotic systems. During the Python programming language course, each topic is accompanied by visual demonstration of the use of relevant software for the development of the robotic systems control elements."

During the course pupils will study the basics of algorithmization and acquire the skills in the development of algorithms, familiarize themselves with the Python programming language and acquire the skills of using its main structures for solving practical problems. Pupils will also be told about the basic principles of construction and basic techniques of  electronic robotic systems control.

The club is open for senoiur schoolchildren. To become a member of the club it is enough to submit an application to the Transcarpathian Regional Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Young Students and Pupils. Classes take place at weekends – at 10 a.m. on Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
