Regional volleyball competition among women finished in sports and recreation complex of UzhNU
On March 19-20, 2016 in a large gym of the sports complex of UzhNU the competition for the Cup of the Transcarpathian region in volleyball among women took place. The event was organized by the Department for Youth and Sports of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
Uzhhorod team including members of UzhNU staff and students won the Cup. The second place went to the team of Mukachevo, and the third - to the team of Rakhiv. Similar competitions were also held in 2015.
"During the winter season trainings of athletes of children's sports schools, including mini-football, were regularly held in the gym, - says Andriy Kurta, the director of the sports complex of UzhNU. Our gyms are regularly attended by various groups of sportsmen and veterans of sports in volleyball, tennis, mini football, table tennis, badminton, martial arts and archery. It is an incontestable proof of our sports facilities being in good condition and our good attitude to visitors. We also want to inform that the administration of the sports complex is doing everything possible to improve the quality of our services. Thus, within the next few days the renovation of the shower rooms and changing rooms adjacent to the gym will be completed. We are planning to change the floors, paint the walls and replace the windows of the small gym ".
