The delegation from the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin visited UzhNU

On Friday, 19 April, a delegation from the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin visited UzhNU to strengthen partnerships. The traditions of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin date back almost 100 years. It is the first Catholic university in Central and Eastern Europe and the only one in Poland. The Uzhhorod National University and the Catholic University of Lublin have had a cooperation agreement for several years.

First of all, the Vice-Rector of the Polish university, Ewa Trzaskowska, and the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Natural Sciences, Jacek Lapinski, met with the Rector of UzhNU, Volodymyr Smolanka, and the Vice-Rector, Ihor Korol. Volodymyr Smolanka expressed his gratitude to his colleagues for their visit and interest in finding new sources of bilateral cooperation.

The guests of the university also met with the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Yolana Golyk, Head of the Department of Urban Construction and Management Diana Kaints, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Systems and Networks of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Svitlana Baloha, Head of the Department of System Analysis and Optimisation Theory of the Faculty of Mathematics and Digital Technologies Myroslava Hlebena.

During the meetings, they discussed the expansion of cooperation horizons, student mobility, involvement of partners in international scientific conferences, exchange programmes for lecturers, the possibility of approving a mobile diploma programme, etc.
