Transcarpathian IT specialists "came into the spotlight" at international competition

An international competition on programming «KPI-Open» was held in Kyiv at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute on June 29 - July 4, 2015. 92 teams representing 5 countries - Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Ukraine and Russia (the team represented Moscow Aviation University) took part in it. The winners were determined after two rounds, the first round lasted for four hours (6 tasks had to be done), the second one lasted for five hours (8 tasks had to be done).

We are pleased to mention that one of the authors of the tasks for this prestigious event was the Head of the Department of Informative and Operating Systems and Technologies of the Faculty of Information Technologies of Uzhhorod National University Associate Professor Oleksandr Mitsa. The proposed tasks were kind of generalization of our assistant professor’s creative research, and it was him who did the analysis and review of the most difficult of them.

II summer school on computer programming "Polit" (Flight) took place on July 1 – 8 in the village of Potoky near Kremenchuk. Students of the Faculty of Information Technologies of UzhNU Roman Rubanenko, Serhiy Oryshych and Associate Professor Oleksandr Mitsa attended the school. We are also pleased to make special mention of the Transcarpathian pupils who participated in the work of the summer school.
