Exchange of experiences in conducting environmental education activities as part of the project “Environment for the Future through Scientific Education – Work in Nature”

As part of the activities of the project “Environment for the Future through Scientific Education – Work in Nature” (EFFUSE-win), a team from Uzhhorod National University (Yaroslava Hasynets, Vladyslav Mirutenko, Inna Besehanych, Myroslava Demchynska, Alina Huklyvska) took part in a training session for students organized by Slovak partners from Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. The event took place in the “Latoryca” nature reserve, which protects the river’s floodplain ecosystem: riparian willow-poplar forests, floodplain meadows, riparian herbaceous vegetation, oxbow lakes, and more.

During the training, methods for collecting insects and ticks were demonstrated. Project experts highlighted plant and invertebrate species that can serve as bioindicators of environmental conditions.

Following the training, participants discussed the status of ongoing project activities and future plans necessary for its successful implementation.
