Congratulations to the teams of young scientists on winning the Competition of Scientific Projects!

In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 27.12.2024 № 1801, three projects of research works of scientists of Uzhhorod National University won the Competition of projects of basic scientific research, applied scientific research and scientific and technical (experimental) developments of young scientists who work (study) in higher education institutions and scientific institutions belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Among the winners of the competition are three projects by teams of young scientists from Uzhhorod National University, namely:

The project “Solid Electrolytes: New Generation Materials for Environmentally Friendly Energy Solutions” - led by Iryna Shender and a team of authors: Yulia Zhukova, Tetiana Babuka, Vitalii Liubachko and Denys Snihur. The project is aimed at developing optimal materials based on compounds with the structure of Ag6+x(P1-xSix)S5I argyrodite, which can be used as effective components for renewable energy storage systems. The object of the research is the heterovalent cationic substitution P5+ ↔ Si4+ within the anionic sublattice, its effect on the structural parameters, electrical, optical and mechanical properties of single crystal and ceramic samples of solid solutions of Ag6+x(P1-xSix)S5I with the structure of argyridite.

Project “Protection of personal data in the context of artificial intelligence and the Internet of things: legal and technical aspects” - headed by Mikhail Vikhlyaev and the team of authors: Mykhailo Gerevych, Sofia Drabiuk, Yevheniia Ostian, Vadym Pishta, Volodymyr Polishchuk, and Yuliia Fetko. The project is aimed at developing a comprehensive legal and technical system for personal data protection. With the rapid development of AI and IoT technologies, new challenges for privacy and information security arise, especially in the context of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. The project envisages a fundamental analysis of national and international legislation, development of proposals for improving the regulatory framework, creation of a hybrid mathematical model for assessing the level of risk of personal data disclosure and implementation of the privacy by design principle. Particular attention is paid to harmonizing Ukrainian legislation with European standards to protect the rights of citizens and increase trust in digital systems.

Project “Ensuring the protection of newest rights in the field of health care in the conditions of war, post-war recovery, demographic crisis” - headed by Viktor Zaborovsky and a team of authors: Sandra Baldizhar, Vadym Pishta, Myroslava Belova, Victoria Gerbut and Polina Malesh.  The project is aimed at ensuring the protection of the latest healthcare rights in the context of martial law, post-war recovery and the demographic crisis. It involves a thorough analysis of legal regulation in the field of assisted reproductive technologies and transplantation of anatomical materials in Ukraine, especially in the context of war and demographic challenges. The main objectives of the project are to develop a flexible model of legal regulation that takes into account ethical, social, and medical aspects. It is envisaged to create a comprehensive legal framework to protect the rights of patients and healthcare workers, as well as to establish mechanisms for international cooperation in this area. The project aims to improve Ukrainian legislation, harmonize it with international standards, and ensure effective protection of medical data.
