Congratulations to the team of young scientists on the victory in the scientific projects competition!
In order to support young scientists, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine launched the competition of scientific works projects, scientific and technical (experimental) developments by young scientists working (studying) in higher education and research institutions in 2016. In 2021, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine will finance 54 new projects which will be implemented by young scientists. It is gratifying to note that the project of SHEI UzhNU took the 18th place and was included in the list of research projects that would be funded. This is a research project "New high-performance Ag+ conductive materials based on compounds of argyrodite structure" developed and implemented by the team of authors Antonina Malinina, Vasyl Vakulchak, Mykhailo Filep, Tetyana Babuka, Viktor Studenyak and Kateryna Skubenych under Artem Pogodin’s guidance.
The project is aimed at solving the environmental problem in the area of green energetics. The project is based on the study of highly efficient Ag+ conductive materials with an arhydrodite structure based on Ag6+x(P1-xGex)S5I solid solutions, its goal is to obtain the samples suitable for use as working elements of solid energy sources (batteries). Despite the significant advantages and widespread use of lithium solid energy sources, they still have a number of disadvantages, which include a high tendency to irreversible chemical degradation in humid conditions, which limits the possibilities of their application. Obtaining more effective materials will create the preconditions for their wider use.
The research department team congratulates the young scientists on their high achievements and the victory in the competition! We wish you success and new achievements in your research activity!
