The best constitutionalists of Ukraine discussed amendments to the fundamental law
Public discussion of the scope and content of amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine in the area of human rights was held in Uzhhorod National University on the 10th of June. Prominent theorists in constitutional law, judges, prosecutors, academics, lawyers and NGO activists gathered in the premises of the university.
The discussion was organized by the Constitutional commission working group for human and citizens’ rights, freedoms and duties with the support of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) “Fair justice” project.
Uzhhorod became one of the cities where amendments to the Constitution had been discussed. Currently the process of elaboration of recommendations and development of common bills that will protect the rights and freedoms of citizens of Ukraine is going on.
