Visit of the Rector of UzhNU to the Technical University of Košice
The Rector of Uzhhorod National University, Professor Volodymyr Smolanka, and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Associate Professor Vitalii Serzhanov, paid a working visit to the Technical University of Kosice last week as part of the ERASMUS+ programme.
During the visit, working meetings were held aimed at strengthening and expanding cooperation between UzhNU and the Technical University of Kosice. Volodymyr Smolanka and Vitaliy Serzhanov took part in the opening ceremony of the academic year at TUKE and met with its rector, Professor Peter Mesaros.
The Rector and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics of UzhNU got acquainted with the work of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering of TUKE, visited the Medical Faculty of Pavol-Jozsef Šafárik University, where they met with the Dean Professor Peter Jarčuška, the Deputy Dean Professor Zhelmira Jacejeva and other colleagues.
At the Faculty of Economics of TUKE, working meetings were held with Dean Michał Szoltes and his deputy Jan Bulec, Professor Robert N. THOMAS from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, USA), who is in Košice on a Fulbright programme, got acquainted with the subdivision of the Faculty of Economics of TUKE - ‘Košice Transformers’, which prepares international projects, ensures the transfer of scientific developments, technologies from science to practice, commercialisation of such developments, and visited the exhibition of scientific achievements ‘SlovakiaTech’.
Volodymyr Smolanka, Vitaliy Serzhanov and their colleagues from TUKE were warmly welcomed by the Mayor of Košice, Jaroslav Poláček, at the Košice City Hall.
