UzhNU started "Intellectual battles"

The shooting of the first game of the TV competition show "Intellectual battles-2015" took place in Uzhhorod National University. Four pupils - winners of regional competitions Victoria Hladynets, Oleksandr Batori, Yaroslav Sigetiy and Yaroslav Hayovych who study in Uzhhorod secondary boarding school with in-depth study of certain subjects were competing for the title “The best mathematician”.

According to the rules of the game, participants compete in four rounds - "Introduction", "Blitz Tour", "Subject", "Try to Remember" and "Erudite". Their knowledge and abilities are assessed by the jury, which consists of the Vice-Rector for Academic Policy and Research Ihor Korol, Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration Mykhaylo Motylchak, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics of UzhNU Vasyl Marynets, teaching methods specialist in mathematics of the Transcarpathian Institute of Postgraduate Education Kateryna Petychuk and the first deputy of one of the political parties Denys Sobolev.  Show presenters are Violetta Tsap and Tudor Kilaru. The game will soon be shown by Transcarpathian Regional State TV and Radio Company “Tysa-1”.

Uzhhorod National University was the initiator of the TV competition "Intellectual battles - 2015". The idea was ​​supported by the Heads of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration and Regional Council, as well as the Department of Education and Science of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration, Transcarpathian Institute of Postgraduate Education and TRSTRC "Tysa-1".

According to the results of the first game Oleksandr Batori won the title of the best mathematician. He received a tablet as a prize. In addition, the winner was entitled to priority admission to the university in case of having identical scores with other applicants. Other participants of “Intellectual battles" were also given prizes - players, books and other gifts.

All in all it is planned to shoot five TV “battles” in mathematics, computer science, chemistry, physics and biology.
