UzhNU reported about last year’s results of its scientific activities to the Ministry of Education
On Friday, the 23rd of February 2018, 7 leading classical and polytechnic universities of Ukraine including Sumy State University, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Uzhhorod National University, National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute", National University "Lviv Polytechnic", Vinnytsia National Technical University presented the results of their scientific activities in 2017 to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Information about the scientific and technical activities of the State Higher Educational Institution "Uzhhorod National University" was presented by the Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Ihor Studenyak. He noted that according to the priority directions of science and technology development in 2017, the scientists of the university carried out 31 scientific projects (22 fundamental, 5 applied and 4 projects carried out by young scientists) at the expense of the state budget with annual funding of 6 million 550 thousand UAH (fundamental - 3910,412 thousand UAH, applied - 1648,088 thousand UAH, projects of young scientists - 991,500 thousand UAH). In the reporting year, 16 research projects were completed, including 1 applied and 15 fundamental projects. The basic results of scientific work are the publications indexed by Scopus and Web of Science, research articles published in magazines included into the list of professional editions, monographs and textbooks, patents for inventions and useful models, licensed contracts obtained grants and defended candidate and doctoral dissertations.
