UzhNU participated in the final seminar on religious environmental ethics
On June 23, the final seminar of the project “Scientific foundations, inter-religious communication and pedagogical principles of Christian environmental ethics” took place in the large hall of Bishops’ Residence of Mukachevo Greek Catholic Diocese.
The event was moderated by the director of the Institute of Environmental Religious Studies of UzhNU Oleksandr Bokotey. He briefed the seminar participants on the nature of the project and mentioned its objectives, which included the development of first priority research areas on the border of ecology and religion, the study of interconfessional dialogue on environmental conservation, identification of the ways and opportunities of ecodirections, holding various conferences, training necessary personnel and preparation of literature (scientific works, monographs, textbooks, manuals and relevant articles and publications).
There was a positive feedback from the participants of the seminar. They gave some recommendations concerning the project development both in Transcarpathia and Western Ukraine.
