UzhNU joined the project "Academic Integrity and Quality Initiative"

Uzhhorod National University has successfully reached the final of the “Academic Integrity and Quality Initiative” project implemented by the American Councils for International Education and supported by the US Embassy in Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance.

The organizers of the project processed the application forms from 153 higher education institutions of Ukraine. Having received high scores, UzhNU got the opportunity to take part in the project "Academic Integrity and Quality Initiative".

 According to Kristina Tovt, the assistant to the Rector of UzhNU and the project coordinator at Uzhhorod National University: “This is the second project by the American Councils for International Education Uzhhorod National University has joined. For about three years we have been working on the Academic Integrity Promotion Project in Ukraine and forming a new academic culture based on trust, honesty, transparency, true learning and true research. In the course of our activity we held round tables, meetings, seminars for teachers and students of Uzhhorod National University and appointed students performing the functons of influence agents at the faculties of our university. In 2017, we also purchased the software checking research works for plagiarism (Unicheck and Strike Plagiarism). Therefore, we are pleased very much to be among the best universities and have passed the selection stage of the new project launched by the above mentioned organization. Trainings for us will start on Monday, we will gain new knowledge and practical skills, which will be implemented for the benefit of UzhNU."
