UzhNU and RMA launch Educational Channel to prepare for the national multi-subject test

UzhNU and RMA launch Educational Channel to prepare for the national multi-subject test

A new stage of preparation for the NMT starts in Zakarpattia: Uzhhorod National University together with the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration is launching a free Educational Channel.

For eleventh-graders in Zakarpattia, a free Educational Channel is being launched for the second time to prepare for the National Multisubject Test. Students will be able to join the classes starting on Monday. Last year, a similar platform was launched in January, when it was still about the EIT, but continued to work despite the war.

Ihor Korol, UzhNU Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, notes that the project yielded results then: the level of quality of education increased, as evidenced by the number of state-funded places received.

"Such a channel reduces to zero the distance for students living in remote areas to get a quality education. We involve the best subject teachers - doctors and candidates of sciences, professors, associate professors who are not only research specialists but also have significant pedagogical experience in teaching. The combination of technical capabilities and high-quality scientific and pedagogical staff has a synergistic effect," Ihor Korol emphasized.

Thus, this year, Ukrainian language and mathematics are compulsory subjects, with a choice of foreign languages (English, German, French, Spanish), physics, chemistry, and biology as third subjects.

Mariana Marusynets, director of the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, emphasized that everyone will now take the test in Ukrainian without exception. At the same time, two training platforms have been launched, one for representatives of national minorities and schools with Hungarian, Romanian or Slovak language classes. They will provide consultations and advice on studying a particular subject, special terminology, etc.

"It is very important for us that the NMT be successful and of high quality. Despite the war, we do not stop, we will keep the educational rear for the sake of our children, the future and Ukraine," emphasized Mariana Marusynets.

This year, just like last year, Hanna Slyvka-Tylyshchak, head of the Department of Probability Theory and Mathematical Analysis at the Faculty of Mathematics and Digital Technologies of UzhNU, will also teach students: "We worked in the following format: first, we gave a lecture, presented the material and basic formulas for each topic, and then worked with the students in a dialog format, completing assignments. The next lesson began with a discussion of problematic issues.

This year, the Educational Channel will have a special test after each topic, which will allow the participant to check his or her level of mastery of the material studied, and the results will be available only to the student."
