On March 9-11, 2017, the delegation of the representatives of 11 Ukrainian universities, headed by the director of the Ukrainian State Centre for International Education Olena Shapovalova, participated in the International Education Fair, held in Warsaw. Uzhhorod National University was also represented at the Fair.
The goal of participation of Ukrainian universities in an international fair was to promote training and present quality European model higher education in Ukraine.
Grand opening of the Ukrainian information stand took place with the participation of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Poland Andrii Deshchytsia.
During the fair there was also a "round table", which brought together representatives of Ukrainian and Polish universities to discuss the topical issues of education and opportunities for development and promotion of Ukrainian higher education in Poland.
Vice-Rectors of UzhNU also participated in the discussion of problems and prospects of higher education in Ukraine and Poland. Particularly, Ihor Korol presented a report on positive trends of cooperation with Polish universities.
During the meeting with the president of the Polish foundation "Perspektywy" Mr. Waldemar Siwinski, Vice-Rector of UzhNU Myroslava Lendel discussed the opportunities of joint international educational and research projects.
Annual International Education Fair in Warsaw brings together hundreds of education institutions of Poland - from high schools and colleges to the best universities. Education institutions of the UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, Spain and the Netherlands were also represented at the international fair.
International Education Fair was held at the Palace of Culture and Science in the city centre and gathered about 35 thousand students, alumni, students and their parents.
