US professor Celia Hildebrand is teaching auricular acupuncture at the medical faculty
This week, UzhNU Faculty of Medicine is hosting a 20-hour certificate training for Ukrainian doctors and other medical providers to learn the use of auricular acupuncture to relieve pain, reduce stress, and regain resilience. The purpose of this training is to address the ongoing physical and emotional traumas impacting the people of Ukraine as a result of the war. The training includes evidence-based treatments practiced in the United States and Europe with civilians and first-responders to disasters, as well as active-duty and retired military. Methodologies include auricular acupuncture and scalp acupuncture to reduce anxiety, relieve pain, build resilience, and promote recovery from both physical and emotional injuries. The goal of this training is to provide relief and promote healing in our community, while also empowering Ukrainian medical providers to become proficient practitioners of these treatments to help relieve both the physical and emotional traumas endured through COVID-19 and through the war with russia.
