The issue of cross-border cooperation was discussed at the "Intellectual Platform" meeting

The other day in the hall of the Academic Council of UzhNU the third meeting of the Transcarpathian Discussion Club for Development and Reforms "Intellectual Platform" took place. The basic theme of the meeting was cross-border cooperation and European integration. The moderator of the meeting was an expert of the office for reforms in the region Oleh Luksha. Presentations were made by Mr.Luksha himself, Vice-Rector of UzhNU Myroslava Lendel and the president of the International Association of Regional Development Institutions («IARDI») Natalia Nosa.

Mr.Luksha stressed that the selected theme was broad enough, especially for our region. He also informed that in the development strategy of Transcarpathia cross-border cooperation was considered as a development tool and not as one of the priorities, as it had been a year ago. His report concerned the opportunities of the Rotary Club in the situation of war in Ukraine.

He also presented the idea of ​​creating an English language website that would impartially cover the events in the country: "The Europeans should receive adequate and accurate information about Ukraine. Unfortunately, the government does not take any measures in this respect - and herein lies the danger. Therefore we should take the situation into our own hands. This is not the first time when this idea is given the utterance to, but the uniqueness of our project is that it already has "the other end", i.e. those who will implement it in Europe".
