The delegation of Oregon State University paid a visit to UzhNU
On October 19th teachers and students of UzhNU met with the representatives of Oregon State University - Peter Bober, the president of the association of twin cities Uzhhorod - Corvallis and Paul Dorres at the Faculty of International Relations. They presented their school, told about its structure and cooperation with other universities.
Guests from the United States met with teachers and students of three faculties (economics, tourism and international relations). Oregon university representatives were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations of UzhNU Mykola Palinchak: "We are pleased to receive a delegation of an American university. In May a cooperation agreement was signed between UzhNU and the University of Oregon, the terms of which we have started to implement in a new academic year. For many years, our young tutors have been able to travel to America to participate in a two-week internship program "Open World". We hope that our employees will continue having such opportunities in the future".
Mr. Bober briefly told about the structure of the University of Oregon, the peculiarities of educational process at the university with 13,000 students one third of which are from outside America. Young people study at 11 faculties.
Teachers asked about external relations of the university and the possibility of distance learning. They were told that online programs were available at four departments of Oregon university.
Then the guests met with students, talked about paculiarities of training in American university and received gifts prepared by students.
