Students of UzhNU conquered Hoverla for the third time
On September 21, 2016 on the initiative of the trade union of the university, 207 students representing 19 faculties of UzhNU made a walking tour to the top Hoverla - the highest mountain of the Ukrainian Carpathians.
Good weather forecasts did not come true - the mountains met the students with frost and snow. Although there were unfavourable weather conditions at the foot of the mountain, the students didn’t give up. The chairperson of the trade union of students Rostyslav Holovchanskyy noted that the way to the top proved to be extremely difficult, but the idea to go back didn’t come into anybody’s mind. "We conquered the mountain for the third time, but I’m saying with confidence that this time was the hardest. The weather was nasty, the temperature was below zero and squally wind was blowing. I want to say that every climbing is unique, but I’m one hundred percent sure that we’ll remember this one for a lifetime".
