Scientists of UzhNU continue close cooperation with their Lithuanian colleagues
The Faculty of Physics of Uzhhorod National University participates in the implementation of a number of international scientific projects. One of them is a Ukrainian-Lithuanian project "New multiferroics and superionic conductors for acoustoelectronics and solid-state ionics" funded within the framework of an intergovernmental agreement.
It is a continuation of similar projects and one of the forms of fruitful and long-term scientific collaboration between Uzhhorod and Vilnius universities in the field of study of new functional materials. The conditions of this project include the funding of mutual visits of its participants as one of the main objectives.
Last year, the scientists of Uzhhorod hosted a group of their colleagues from Vilnius headed by Professor J.Banis, who, in addition to discussing the results of joint research with partners, took part in the seminar that was traditionally held in UzhNU. This year, the delegation of UzhNU consisting of Professors I.Studenyak, Y.Vysochanskyi and O.Hrabar visited Vilnius. The scientists presented the results of their research on the subject conducted in UzhNU and got acquainted with the results of research of their Lithuanian colleagues. Ukrainian scientists were greatly impressed with the new building of the Faculty of Physics of the University of Vilnius, which provides the best conditions for fruitful scientific work.
