Our ambassador at a roundtable discussion in the UK House of Commons

At the invitation of the #CentreforGeopolitics, I participated in the Parliamentary Roundtable "Strengthening the UK’s Sanctions Regime Against russia" which took place today, April 29, 2025, in the Houses of Parliament, London. This event, hosted by The Rt Hon Sir Iain Duncan Smith MP, aimed to examine how the UK Parliament can enhance its sanctions scrutiny to close enforcement gaps, counter sanctions evasion, and strengthen measures against Russia’s war economy. Given the cross-party commitment to supporting Ukraine, this discussion was focused on practical recommendations for policy action to ensure that the UK plays a leading role in defunding russia’s war machine and making Russia pay.
