National minorities’ educational rights were discussed at UzhNU
On Tuesday, January 31, 2023, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine organized and held a round table discussion "National minorities’ educational rights" at Uzhhorod National University. The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Vira Rohova, Vice President of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Director of the Institute of Pedagogy Oleh Topuzov, representative of the Institute of Modernization of the Content of Education Tamara Pushkaryova, Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko, Deputy Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Military Administration Ihor Shynkaryuk, the mayor of Uzhhorod city Bohdan Andriyiv, the heads of the educational departments of the Regional Military Administrations of Zakarpattia, Lviv and Chernivtsi regions Maryana Marusynets, Oleh Paska, Oksana Sakrier, heads and teachers at educational institutions of the region took part in the round table discussion
The first vice-rector of UzhNU, Professor Oleksandr Slyvka, greeted the participants of the round table, emphasizing the significant long-term contribution of the university to the training of personnel for the educational sphere of Transcarpathia, in particular, schools for ethnic minorities, which are successfully functioning and developing.
During the round table discussion, the first vice-rector of UzhNU Oleksandr Slyvka and the vice-president of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, director of the Institute of Pedagogy Oleh Topuzov signed a cooperation agreement, which provides for the collaboration of these institutions in the field of science, research, education, organizing cultural, educational and other activities.
