Ludmyla Simochko represented Uzhhorod National University as a keynote speaker at the International Congress in Turkey
The IMASCON International Congress was held in Kocaeli on December 10-11, 2021. The large-scale event was held in a hybrid form and was attended by scientists from 11 countries. The congress covered such relevant areas as biosafety in the context of globalization, climate change, environmental monitoring, ecosystem management, ecosystem dynamics, sustainable development, etc.
Ludmyla Symochko, Associate Professor of the Department of Entomology and Biodiversity Conservation, Faculty of Biology, was invited as a keynote speaker and a member of the International Scientific Committee. At the plenary session, she presented the report "Biosecurity in ecosystems and sustainable development" in which she presented the results of many years of research and analyzed the existing risks to biosafety in ecosystems, ways to prevent, control and eliminate them in sustainable development. The speaker was awarded a distinction. During the event, a number of working meetings were held to discuss the main areas of international cooperation between representatives of universities from different countries. An agreement on cooperation within the frame of Mevlana program was signed between Uzhhorod National University and Kocaeli University, according to which further scientific and educational cooperation between the universities is planned.
