Last year’s results and plans for the next year were discussed at a regular meeting of the Academic Council
On the 27th of November, 2015 a regular meeting of the Academic Council of Uzhhorod University took place. The results of work of the admission committee in 2015 and the goals set for the next year were discussed, the results of licensing and accreditation were announced and a number of employees were awarded academic degrees.
One of the main issues for the Academic Council was the announcement of licensing and accreditation results in academic year 2014/2015 and goals for academic year 2015/2016. According to the speaker, Vice-Rector for Academic Policy and Research Ihor Korol, 10 professions providing educational and qualification level "Bachelor" and 9 providing educational and qualification level "Master" were licensed.
The number of seats for Master’s degree was increased for some specialities at the expense of reduction of the number of seats for Specialist’s degree. The university was given a lincence allowing it to train foreigners in all areas. According to the speaker, UzhNU is the only university in Ukraine that opened the department of military training this year. Its graduates will be able obtain the rank of officer in four specialities.
