Esteemed professors from the United States and Canada visited the Faculty of International Relations

Today, students of the faculty of international relations had a good chance to hear the lecture delivered by honorary doctor, Professor Emeritus, one of the best experts in US politics - Mr. Dan Durning and Professor Emeritus of Saymon Fraser University (Canada) - Natalia Haydamachko.

During the lecture Professor Durning cited examples from his work, analyzing the problems in the USA (including global warming, legalization of weapons, the problem with migrants, setting the minimum wage, etc.) After "simulation game", the professor gave 3rd year students opportunity to feel themselves real experts in US policy. They actively debated in English offering different solutions to the above mentioned problems.

Professor Natalia Haydamachko (by origin from Uzhhorod) shared her teaching experience, compared the education system of Canada and Ukraine, spoke about the possibilities of studying abroad (e.g. Khristina Berynets - a graduate of the Faculty of International Relations is doing her Master’s in the aforementioned Canadian University).

At the end of the lecture the Dean of the Faculty prof. Mykola Palinchak thanked the distinguished professors for active participation in training of students of international relations. The collaboration between professors has continued for over 12 years and initiated not only strong friendship, but also the development of the Institute of Public Administration and Regional Development in the structure of UzhNU.
