About the 2026 International Partnerships Forum

On May 12, the International Partnerships Forum was held, organized by Uzhhorod National University’s Twinning partner—the University of Lancashire (Preston, United Kingdom).

The event took place on the Teams platform and brought together over 70 representatives of the university’s international partner network, serving as a platform for discussing insights, opportunities, and the development of cooperation in the field of Transnational Education (TNE).

Participants had the opportunity to join sessions led by key speakers on the following topics: The session focused on transforming approaches to marketing in TNE. Participants discussed the shift from traditional student recruitment to building long-term trust among universities, partners, and communities. Particular attention was paid to the role of communication, engagement with stakeholders, and adapting strategies to different cultural and educational contexts. This session explored the opportunities offered by international mobility programs, COIL initiatives, and funding under the Turing program. Participants exchanged ideas on developing inter-institutional cooperation, discussed key challenges, and identified practical approaches to implementing joint educational projects.

  1. Marketing Transnational Education in 2026: From Recruitment to Relationships;
  2. The role of global opportunities in the development of transnational education (How can Global Opportunities Support the Continued Rise of TNE?)

The Forum’s particular value was enhanced by active discussions during thematic sessions and networking with colleagues from around the world.

Representatives from the International Relations Department of UzhNU participated in the event. We sincerely thank the International Partnerships Team for organizing the event and all participants for the substantive discussions and new ideas that will contribute to the further development of international partnerships.
