Digital Conference "Beyond Speed: Harnessing the Full Potential of 5G" Held at Uzhhorod national university
On Wednesday, June 19, Uzhhorod National University held a digital conference "Beyond Speed: Harnessing the Full Potential of 5G", where participants had an opportunity to learn about the peculiarities of 5G technology development, the use of technology in education, science and various spheres of life and its development prospects, as well as receive valuable information about the relationship between artificial intelligence and the 5G communication network.
The conference was held offline and online within the framework of the international project "Empowering High Tech for Higher Education Institutions" (Skills2Scale) https://skills2scale.eu/, aimed at developing and implementing advanced innovative and entrepreneurial educational programs in the field of Beyond 5G technologies. The Skills2Scale initiative is funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) https://eit-hei.eu/. The partners include Uzhhorod National University, Polytechnic University of Valencia, Technical University of Liberec, Lapland University, Greek Entrepreneurship Award, Demokritos National Center for Scientific Research, Fogus Innovations & Services P.C., Central Macedonia Regional Development Fund and Catholic University of Portugal.
Ivan Myroniuk, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of UzhNU, Chief Project Manager, welcomed the conference participants: «Our conference, like the entire project, has a meaningful title, and today we will talk about harnessing the potential of 5G. Of course, this is a matter of perspective, because we do not yet have such technologies in our space. However, we are preparing for new achievements step by step with European countries. This conference is the final event of a project that lasted 14 months. It is coming to an end, and we want to thank everyone who was involved in its implementation. This project was the first step towards the introduction of 5G technology into our everyday life and educational process».

The conference was moderated by Inga Besehanych, an engineer at the UzhNU Department of Scientific Grant activities, a master's student at the Faculty of Foreign Philology, and Tetiana Babuka, coordinator of the UzhNU Department of Scientific Grant activities. In total, the conference was attended by 108 participants. Among the speakers were representatives from Ukraine, Greece, Spain, Finland and the Czech Republic:
