Impact Rankings Times Higher Education
The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We use carefully calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparison across four broad areas: research, stewardship, outreach and teaching. The Impact Rankings are dynamic in nature, expanding rapidly each year as more universities attempt to demonstrate their SDG achievements by joining the database. The rating allows institutions to demonstrate their improvement year-on-year, for example by introducing new clear sustainability policies and providing open evidence of their progress.
SU "Uzhhorod National University" has significantly improved its position in the ranking and holds the 801-1000 position and received 54.3 points in the overall ranking in 2023. For comparison, in 2022 we had 50.9 points, in 2021 the university had a position of 1001+ and received 36.4 points of the overall ranking. Consequently, UzhNU occupies a high 3-6 place among Ukrainian higher education institutions.

UI GreenMetric World University Ranking
The UI GreenMetric World University Ranking is an initiative of Universitas Indonesia that started in 2010. The purpose of the rating is to quantify efforts to support the sustainability (environmental) of campuses. The rating as a whole is based on the conceptual framework of the environment, economy and justice. All UI GreenMetric members are automatically logged into UIGWURN. In this network, participants can share their best practices in sustainability programs and interact with other participants around the world by taking part in the annual UI GreenMetric International Workshop and regional/national workshops organized by approved host universities.
In the year of 2022 UzhNU took 9th place among 17 universities of Ukraine included in the rating. By way of comparison, in 2021, UzhNU was ranked 11th out of 18 Ukrainian universities, thus the university’s position in the ranking increased by 2 points within one year. This year, more than 1,050 universities from 85 countries participated in the GreenMetric World University Rankings. The rating evaluates the activities of universities according to indicators of sustainable development: energy efficiency, climate change, infrastructure, water, waste management, environmental education, transport, etc.
