In regards to the changes in the requirements for documents confirming the completion of medical education, many countries now require additional documents for employment or clinical rotations in medical specialties. For students studying in Ukraine, this includes obtaining a certificate of postgraduate training. This can be obtained after successfully completing an internship. For foreign students who plan to work as doctors in Ukraine, the internship lasts from 1.5 to 3 years in Ukrainian, with the need to pass the licensing exam Step 3.
Students who do not plan to work in Ukraine have the option to enroll in a separate internship for the specialty of General Practice, which lasts one year (12 months) in English or Ukrainian, without the need to pass Step 3.
The training is conducted at the departments of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education and clinical bases. The training program includes four main blocks: internal medicine, pediatrics, surgical diseases (including ENT, ophthalmology, traumatology, and orthopedics) and obstetrics and gynecology. To communicate with patients, it is necessary to have a basic level of Ukrainian language proficiency.
The certification after completing the training includes a written and clinical exam and an interview based on the internship program. In the event of a positive certification result, a certificate of completion of training for the primary specialization "General Practice" is issued, which includes the total duration of training, the names of the sections of the specialization program, and the number of hours spent on each section.
Applications for enrollment are accepted from June 20 to September 20. The training program starts on September 1 (may be individually postponed to November 1). Registration and document submission are conducted online. To do this, you need to click the blue "Register" button on the registration page and enter your name and surname, phone number, and email. IMPORTANT: Enter correct contact information, otherwise you will not be able to proceed to the next stage.

In the event of successful registration after July 1, we will send you a form for submitting documents. You will need to upload a scanned application for enrollment, a copy of your diploma, copies of certificates for the results of integrated tests "Step 1" and "Step 2". For those who choose Ukrainian as the language of study, you will also need to provide a state certificate confirming the level of proficiency in the state language, which is not lower than the average level of the first stage, issued by the National Commission for State Language Standards); or a certificate of completion of preparatory courses for foreigners and stateless persons with a positive result of the exam on the level of proficiency in Ukrainian; or a document confirming that the person has studied Ukrainian as a subject during previous education with at least 10 ECTS credits.
