Briefing with YouControl representatives and workshop "YouControl - an innovative tool for corruption-fighters" took place at UzhNU

Students of UzhNU and journalists had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with YouControl system during a short briefing and a workshop. The meeting was initiated by the Department of Finance and Banking of UzhNU.  In spring this year, the university signed a memorandum of cooperation with YouControl, which provided the students of UzhNU with the opportunity to learn how to assess the risks of potential counteragents and avoid risky transactions that might cause financial losses. The tool is also useful for journalists and anyone who wants to study business activity of Ukrainian companies in detail.

YouControl is an information and analytical platform for business analytics, competitive intelligence and analyzing the activity of counteragents. The web resource started its work in 2014. It allows to get relevant information from the state registers and to get daily updates about the changes.

 Antonina Ryahovska, YouControl, PR manager noted: "Our web resource processes the data from 40 state registries, analyzes counteragents, in particular their financial activity. We are proud of the system that shows a variety of relationships between companies. YouControl receives information about the necessary company in the form of a dossier, which allows you to find out the information about the players in the market, to detect possible fraud or corruption schemes much faster and more effectively. We cooperate with the main Ukrainian anti-corruption agencies and investigative journalists including “No Corruption”, “Stop Corruption”, “1+1” TV channel, “Bihus.info”, “Our Money” TV program and many others. The aim of our activities is the growth of the Ukrainian economy and improvement of its transparency."

The founder of YouControl, Serhiy Milman, told about the investigations done by the resource, in particular of the public procurement market, the interaction of Ukrainian businesses with Russian companies subject to sanction restrictions. "We presented the investigation of the economic interests of the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, where we considered what schemes they were using to optimize their businesses, and also ranked the leaders of medical supplies. In general, our resource has a lot of tools allowing to investigate thoroughly and objectivety the activity of any company in Ukraine," said Serhiy Milman.

 Then, a workshop for journalists and students of UzhNU was held. YouControl representatives conducted a training on using the online resource, reviewed the problems that users might come accross and the ways of their solution.
