Uzhhorod National University is launching new projects as part of the European University Ulysseus
In the autumn of 2023, Uzhhorod National University joined the cohort of the first, most successful Ukrainian universities in the field of international cooperation as an associate member of the European University Alliance, which is expected to transform into integral European universities by 2030.

Ulysseus is the second alliance to receive financial support from the European Union in an extremely competitive environment with other similar associations.
With the slogan ‘European University for Future Citizens’, the alliance focuses on standards of excellence in education and research, openness, citizen-centricity and entrepreneurship.
Ulysseus unites eight higher education institutions of the European Union - the University of Seville (Spain), the University of the Côte d'Azur (France). The University of Genoa (Italy), the Technical University of Košice (Slovakia), and the School of Entrepreneurship of the Management Centre Innsbruck - MCI (Austria). University of Applied Sciences The Hague-Helmia (Finland), University of Münster (Germany), University of Montenegro (Montenegro).
On 17 May 2024, after the stage of negotiations and presentation of Uzhhorod National University, which were held in March - April this year by the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work of UzhNU Myroslava Lendiel, the first working meeting was held in an expanded composition. UzhNU was represented by the Head of the International Relations Department Oksana Svezhentseva, the leading specialist of the project office of the International Relations Department Svitlana Delehan, the Head of the Research Department Kateryna Skubenych, and the specialist of the Research and Grant Department Inga Besehanich. Ulysseus was represented by representatives of the Technical University of Kosice, the University of the Côte d'Azur, and the MCI School of Entrepreneurship. After the presentation of UzhNU's project experience and potential, an agreement was reached on cooperation in the preparation of projects that meet the priorities of the alliance and can be funded by various EU programmes, as well as the involvement of UzhNU staff and students in academic mobility programmes.
