"Ukraine is a European country and we celebrate Europe Day every year. Last weekend we supported European environmental initiatives by planting trees and shrubs, and today we have a charity fair to support our student Iryna Medvid. And we are very glad that there is such an opportunity to support those of our students who need it very much," said the Vice-Rector of UzhNU Ihor Korol.

The participants of the fair actively invited guests to get acquainted with the traditions and culture of the European countries, as well as to buy delicacies that are associated with a particular European nation.

"The purpose of this holiday is to present different European countries, to get acquainted with their culture, we also distribute small leaflets that contain information about a country and present the dishes of the country. There is a native speaker in each tent, and people ask with curiosity how certain words are translated. There are also people who do not want to taste anything, they just want to donate money to help our student. In general, the atmosphere here is great,” says Ivan Bon, a fifth-year student at the Faculty of Foreign Philology.

There will also be and intellectual Brain Ring as part of the celebration of Europe Days, where the teams of Uzhhorod National University students and schoolchildren of Uzhhorod will compete.
