UzhNU recognizes diplomas of higher education in theology
The Academic Council of UzhNU amended the rules of admission to the University, whereby diplomas of higher education in theology are recognized. Their owners will be able to apply for Specialist’s or Master’s Degree programmes offered by UzhNU.
According to the executive secretary of the admission committee Petro Horvat, under the regulation of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Acedemic Council is authorized to take decisions on the validity of the document on higher education in theology for entrance to UzhNU.
According to the Vice-Rector for Academic Policy and Research Oleksandr Rohach, the decision was initiated by the Law Faculty, where specialists in state ecclesiastical law are trained. The specialily is especially popular among the representatives of the clergy.
By the way, last year about ten students with diplomas in theology were not allowed to enter UzhNU because their diplomas were not state documents.
