UzhNU climbed 4 positions up the ranking of universities "Top 200 Ukraine"

Uzhhorod National University is in 35th place in this prestigious ranking this year. Uzhhorod University climbed 4 positions up compared to last year. It was 39thin 2015. In recent years UzhNU had positive dynamics: in 2013 it was 43th, in 2014 – 41st and in 2015 – 39th. More information about the ranking of "Top 200 Universities of Ukraine" can be found here..

Ranking evaluation of Ukrainian universities was conducted by the International Projects Center "Yevroosvita" which was founded with the support of Research Institute for Applied Information Technologies of the Cybernetic Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Launched in 2006, the project "Top-200 Ukraine" was the first and remains the only accredited IREG academic rating in Ukraine, the hallmark of which is an attempt to compare different types of universities on the basis of universal criteria system.

It is one of three indicators (along with Scopus and Webometrics rankings) forming a consolidated ranking of universities. It should also be noted that according to the latest rankings published by Scopus UzhNU occupies 13th position and Webometrics – 26th (as of July 2015 - 80th position). We are waiting for the consolidated ranking results which will be made public in early July.

 Vice-rector Myroslava Lendel noted: "University rankings are one of the criteria taken into consideration by applicants, employers and international partners. They help to identify the areas in which we have achieved good results, and also those in which we must work harder. Therefore, it is a good management tool. In any case, the progress of Uzhhorod National University proves that we are moving forward and are able to compete with the best Ukrainian universities".
