Student snowboarding camp was opened!
A weeklong student snowboarding camp held as part of the project "International Youth Sports Partnership" between Slovakia and Ukraine funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism started functioning on Mount Krasiya on December 13, 2016. The grand opening took place near the main administrative building of UzhNU.
32 Slovak and Ukrainian students and 8 winter sports coaches were greeted by the Vice-rector of UzhNU for Research and International Cooperation Myroslava Lendel, the Head of Youth and Sports Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vitaliy Erfan, a member of the executive committee of the Transcarpathian branch of the Olympic Committee of Ukraine Mykhailo Hrynio, project coordinator representing the Slovakian party - Academician of the Technical University of Kosice Pavol Lopuhovskyy and representatives of the Ukrainian party of the project - the coordinator of the first joint camp, the dean of the Faculty of Healthcare Olena Dulo, a representative of travel business of the region Volodymyr Chepa and the director of the Transcarpathian civic organization "Association for sports, culture and tourism" Vitaliy Pughan.
The guests expressed the will to develop sports relationships and communication between Slovakia and Ukraine. They also wished the camp participants to gain new experience, master snowboarding, communicate with their peers, give rise to new ideas and projects and promote healthy lifestyle.
