Student Scientific and Practical Conference Held at Medical Faculty No. 2
On May 27, 2025, the Medical Faculty No. 2 of Uzhhorod National University hosted a student scientific and practical conference that brought together students, faculty members, and invited guests. The event took place in the lecture hall of the Department of Family Medicine and Outpatient Care, with an option to join remotely via online streaming.
During the first part of the conference, students presented the results of their own scientific research, which addressed current issues in clinical medicine, as well as fundamental and theoretical disciplines. The presentations demonstrated a high level of academic preparation, scientific relevance, and practical orientation.
The second part of the event featured a series of hands-on workshops held at the Educational and Research Training Center for Family Medicine and Pre-Medical Care. Participants had the opportunity to engage in interactive training sessions, including:
– “POCUS Essentials: Ultrasound for Future Doctors” — basic ultrasound diagnostic skills for medical students;
– “Acute Bleeding Control: Hands-On Training for Medical Students” — practical training in emergency bleeding control techniques.
The workshops were conducted using modern simulation equipment and under the guidance of experienced instructors.
The concluding part of the conference featured a lecture titled "THE MAGIC OF A GOOD PRESENTATION", delivered by Pavlo Kolesnyk, Head of the Department of Family Medicine and Outpatient Care. The lecture provided practical insights into effective public speaking, visual communication, and the development of essential presentation skills.
Such events play an important role in fostering students’ academic growth, improving practical competencies, and strengthening the professional medical community.
