Scientist from Uzhhorod University participated in the International Scientific Conference
Recently an International scientific conference «New Trends in the Ecological and Biological Research», devoted to current problems in the field of applied ecology, environmental education, ecosystem management and analysis of the possibilities of using molecular and genetic research methods in the above-mentioned directions, was held at the University of Prešov (Slovak Republic).
The conference was opened with welcoming speeches of the Rector of the University of Prešov Professor Peter Kona and the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Natural Sciences Professor René Matlovič. In addition to oral presentations, poster section worked at the conference.
The Faculty of Biology of Uzhhorod National University was represented by the Associate Professor Ludmyla Symochko, who made the report «Microorganisms as soil quality indicators». The forum was attended by over 60 scientists from different countries of America, Turkey, Australia, Ukraine, Poland, Serbia and others.
Excursions to the pharmaceutical company «Medicproduct Ltd» and Research Center of the University «Excellence Centre of Animal and Human Ecology», which unites several laboratories dealing with environmental and genetic research, were organized for the conference participants.
