Round table “Taxation and business” at UzhNU
On December 1st 2017, a topical and very interesting discussion about the taxation system of Ukraine and its impact on businesses took place in the administrative building of UzhNU. In addition to the scholars of the Law Faculty of UzhNU, the round table was joined by the heads of departments of the regional state administration, Uzhhorod municipality, fiscal authorities, judicial authorities, representatives of public organizations and businesses. A representative of Transcarpathia in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Robert Horvat, also participated in the discussion.
It is worth emphasizing that the "round table" was initiated by students of our university - members of the Transcarpathian branch of the Student League of the Association of Ukrainian Lawyers. The event was co-organized by the General Directorate of the State Fiscal Service in the Transcarpathian region, the Law Faculty of UzhNU and the law firm "Greca & Partners".
The format of the "round table" provided for the discussion of topical issues in three panel discussions: "Institutional reform of SFS bodies", "Taxation challenges for businesses in 2018" and "Jurisprudence in taxation disputes". Thus, the participants of the event discussed the most urgent issues, including the concept of reforming the SFS bodies, the idea of establishing a Financial Investigation Service, the challenges faced by businesses when obtaining electronic reimbursement of VAT, the introduction of a capital duty, etc.
