Jan Tombinski about Ukraine's way to the European future
On October, 28th a lecture-discussion on current stage of relations between the EU and Ukraine was delivered to students of the Faculty of International Policy, Management and Business as part of the opening of the EU Information Center. The audience was addressed by the person knowing the real situation in relations between Ukraine and the EU - the Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski. The event was moderated by Professor Ihor Todorov.
Jan Tombinski started with a small introduction about what a proper discussion was, its purpose and objectives, since discussion was the format of the meeting. He expressed hope that all participants of the event would have better understanding of their thoughts which was one of the main tasks of the discussion.
Then he proceeded to the main subject of the discussion. "Your country has been seriously tested by the war and the Maidan. The capital you have gained should not be wasted. I hope that your generation will not tolerate the fact that these victims were in vain. I travel Ukraine and see representatives of new generation who have strength and determination to keep Ukraine united. It is certainly encouraging,"- Mr. Ambassador shared his opinion of the current situation in our country.
